Timothy Bronkema

Timothy holds a BA in English Literature from Brooklyn College. He favors the medium of acrylic and also works in photography, pen and ink, pencil, and graphite. Overall, the subject matter reflected in his work is realistic, and of late he has focused on depicting scenes of his home. When working in acrylic, Timothy utilizes a consistent process: He begins with the middle range of a color, then progresses to include darker and lighter shades of that color. When working in pencil, he does not erase "mistakes"; he believes that imperfection is as significant as perfection.
