Susan Baus

Susan began working in digital collage during a period of illness that rendered her largely homebound. Her collages are fashioned from scanned objects that she manipulates to create scenes of New York City and other locales. She also sketches faces in graphite pencil. Susan’s background is in photo printing, commercial lithography, and graphic arts. Susan worked as a commercial image manipulator and color scanner operator and was an assistant professor at New York City College of Technology, where she taught Photoshop, page layout, color theory of inks, and photography.
