Saverio Penza

Saverio was born in Naples, Italy, and describes his work as "modern folk art," in which he depicts scenes from nature and from everyday life. He studied photojournalism at New York City’s High School of Printing, majored in communications at New York Institute of Technology, and pursued the study of watercolor figure painting at the Art Students League. He works in the mediums of acrylic and watercolor painting, pencil, and photography, and also creates fanciful ceramic sculptures.
