Gary began making art in childhood and started taking art classes in middle school. His serious pursuit of artmaking was spurred over the years by participation in various studio programs such as Pathways to Housing and HAI Studio in SoHo, where he focused on working in acrylic on canvas. Gary's body of work includes paintings in the abstract style as well as landscapes and portraits, and he has expanded his practice to include the creation of large-scale works. His pieces have been shown at numerous New York City venues, including Frieze Art Fair, Queens Museum, and HAI. Cartoon drawing, which Gary studied while at Boston Architecture College, has strongly influenced his work.

Proceeds from sales of art go directly to the artist.
