Jayce Kim

Born in Seoul, Korea, Jayce studied Fine Arts at Queens College and at Fashion Institute of Technology.  Her most recent work includes oil portraits of Native Americans. Jayce paints every day and after a lifetime of working in the realist style, she looks forward to making works in the abstract and surrealist styles. Jayce strives to paint beautiful paintings in the mode of role models such as Van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse and Monet. Says Jayce, “I paint like a poet who sees the ordinary world as extraordinary.  I look at a tree and think how green the tree is and what it really looks like, how beautiful it is and how I would like to paint it.” Jayce’s website features her art inspired by pop and rock songs: www.ArtGallerina.com
